Jean Ann Nordstrom, 74, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017. She was born September 30, 1943, in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Jean was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Post 1341. She particularly enjoyed family, travel, and eating out. Her hobbies included working puzzles and crocheting. She had a fascination with eagles. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Elam "Red" and Nina (Capps) Wheeler; brothers, David and John Wheeler; and brother-in-law, Joe Prinnell. Survivors include her husband, Karl of the home; daughters, Paula Jean Pierce and Angela Marie Nordstrom; brothers, Terry (Joyce) Wheeler and Steve (Ginger) Wheeler; twin sister, June Ann Prinnell; sister-in-law, Donna; 11 grandchildren: Shakira and K.C. Carson, Charlie Nordstrom, Trevor Nordstrom, Cherokee and Michael Stephens, Christina Carroll, Jeremy Nordstrom, Tia and Jake Sterling, Matthew Naslund; 7 great-grandchildren: Aedyn and Isabella Carson, Brandon and Laekyn VanMeir, Lucas and Ashlynn Sterling, Sebastian Stephens; and many other relatives and good friends. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, October 23, in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home with Tricia Clem officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
