Berna Dean Hinton, 81, of Highland, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017. She was born July 18, 1936, in Brakebill, Arkansas, to Tommy and Mary Elizabeth (Holland) Kidd. She was a member of Ward Street Church of Christ. Berna Dean had worked as a nurse and was a manager in retail sales. Her hobbies included reading, painting, working crossword puzzles, and researching her Indian family heritage. Berna Dean was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Parks and Shirley Wallace, and two brothers, Jeff and Samuel Kidd. Survivors include her husband, J.D. Hinton, of the home; daughters, Lisa Stout and Tammy Inman, both of Highland; son, Johnny Hinton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, June Beavers of Morley, Missouri; brothers, Johnny Kidd of Highland and Irven Kidd of Chaffee, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and good friends. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, at Ward Street Church of Christ in Hardy. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
