Sherry Downum

Sherry Gale Downum, 61, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away July 31, 2017, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born September 11, 1955, in Kingman, Kansas, to Benjamin Franklin and Alyce (Colwell) Watkins. Sherry was known for her happiness with life through her infectious smile and personality. She had worked as a valued designer in management at Cherokee Frame Company. She was an active member of GFWC Timely Club of Hardy having served on several committees and as co-president. Survivors include her husband, Don; her sons, Justin (Jacquelyn) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Steven of Austin, Texas; a sister, Linda Finfrock of Lafayette, Louisiana; four grandchildren: Carter, Ella, Zachary, and Jessica; and many other relatives and good friends. A visitation of family and friends will celebrate Sherry's life from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017, in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to worthy causes of the donor's choice. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
