Carl Palmer Hamilton, 91, of Hardy, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehab Center. He was born April 9, 1926, in Viola, Arkansas. Mr. Hamilton was a member of the church of Christ and had worked as a diesel mechanic. He served his country in World War II in the Army. His hobbies included fishing and woodworking, and he will long be remembered as quite a jokester. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Jefferson and Maybell (Powell) Hamilton; a brother, William Hamilton; sisters, Audrey Kaylor and Margie Hamilton; son-in-law, Carl Trivitt; daughter-in-law, Kathy Hamilton; grandchildren Krikett Sisco and Wade Hamilton. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Lena Mae (Goings) Hamilton; four sons: Carl Dennis (Debbie) of Texarkana, Texas, Kenneth, Gaylon (Cindy), and Timmy, all of Hardy; two daughters, Janet Trivitt of Highland, Arkansas, and Teresa Tapp of Williford, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and good friends. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 29; the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30; these activities will all be in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland. Burial will follow in Turkey Pen Cemetery.
