Carl A. Faulkner, 80, of Cherokee Village, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, in a Jonesboro hospital. He was born April 8, 1937, in Lepanto, Arkansas, to John and Beadie Henson Faulkner. Bro. Carl had served as a pastor for 45 years and was currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 51 years, Golla "Goldie" Mae Cromeans Faulkner; a son, Steven Earl Faulkner; sisters, Lillie Wright and Dapheny Powell; and brothers: William Charles, Clayburn, Eddie, and John Ray Faulkner. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of the home; daughters, Glenda Bragg of Harrison, Arkansas, and Carla Kopech of Houston, Texas; grandchildren: Sonia, Jeremy, Stevie, Amanda, Amy, Anthony, Luke, Jessie, and Hank; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Dugard, Juanita Emrich, and Naomi Williams; a brother, David Faulkner; many beloved nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and good friends. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church located between Ash Flat and Evening Shade. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Johnson Chapel Cemetery located between Beebe and Des Arc. Bro. Eddie Addison will officiate. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
