Martin VanDyk

Martin Scott VanDyk, 54, of Cherokee Village, passed away from a long-term illness Thursday, January 26, 2017. He was born November 19, 1962, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Marty was a plumber by trade. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and winning at bingo. He was preceded in death by his father, William A. VanDyk and a brother, William B. VanDyk. Survivors include his mother, Patricia Ostrowski VanDyk of Cherokee Village; brothers, Christopher and Mark and sister, Melissa, all of California; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and good friends. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
