"Button" Armstrong

David R. "Button" Armstrong, 93, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, died Saturday, November 26, 2016. He was born February 14, 1923, to David Crockett and Pauline Stephens Armstrong in El Paso, Texas. Button served as a U.S. Marine. He was a retired rancher and school bus driver and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Survivors include his children, Linda May of Ash Flat and Stephen Armstrong of Texas; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. The family will have private services. A public Celebration of Life will be Sunday, December 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ash Flat Community Center. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
