Mary Cooper

Mary Loueita Sims Cooper, 86, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, died Friday, August 5, 2016, at her home. She was born March 14, 1930, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Franklin and Madge Rudd Sims. Mary had worked on the assembly line at Baxter Lab, was of the Baptist faith, and was a member of Eastern Star in Hardy. She also served on the Ash Flat City Council for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, a son, Kenneth Hayden Cooper, and a grandson, Zack Cooper. Survivors include her children, Doug (Carol Ann) Cooper, Barbara (Johnny Ray) Hyslip, and Kathy (Jack) Haskins, all of Ash Flat; five sisters; grandkids, Alan and Lynn Haskins, Jason and Grant Hyslip, Doug, Lance, and William Cooper, Taluia Pentacost, Tanya Taylor, Jayce and Dane Perkins; several great-grandkids and great-great grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Family services were Sunday, August 7, at Knob Creek Church and Cemetery near Melbourne, Arkansas. To honor Mary's life and the memories of her sharing, donations are encouraged to Knob Creek Church & Cemetery Fund in care of Mildred Cheatham, HC77 Box 1680, Melbourne, AR 72556. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
