Elizabeth Nelson

Elizabeth Ann Nelson, 79, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, was born July 2, 1936, to Benjamin and Helen Roberta Hamilton Willoughby in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She passed away November 12, 2015, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. She had worked as a home health care nurse's aide and was a member of the Hardy United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her children, Richard Nelson and Roberta Nelson. Survivors include her significant other, Douglas Wood of the home; sons, James Allen Nelson of Nesbit, Mississippi, and Timothy Gene (Donna) Nelson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her daughters Jean Nelson of Cherokee Village and Susan Ryan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sister, Mina Klimme of Oklahoma City; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Hardy United Methodist Church. Graveside service will be held at a later date in Summerfield, Oklahoma. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
