Raymond J. Siwek, 91, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, at his home in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. He was born February 5, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois, and had worked as a barber and a furniture salesman. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church where he was a deacon for many years. Mr. Siwek was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Angeline Zon Siwek; two infant sons, Robert and John; and one brother. Survivors include his wife, Marie of the home; sons, Raymond A. Siwek of New Jersey and Stephen Siwek of Chicago; daughter, Elizabeth Daugherty of Marietta, Georgia; a brother, Joseph Siwek; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 24, with Funeral Mass beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Father Nazarus Maduba will officiate. Burial will follow with military honors in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Highland, Arkansas. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
