Billie N. Orr of Myron departed this life at home with family by his side on April 22, 2015, at the age of 88 years, two months, and ten days. He was born February 12, 1927, at Ash Flat to Everett and Alma Wade Orr. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Julene King Orr; three brothers, Roy Orr, Russell Orr, and Clay Orr; and one sister, Audrey Orr McKimm. He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Orr; one daughter, Patricia (Dave) Bolt of North Little Rock; a son and daughter by marriage, Kendall (Tammy) Stroud of Myron and Kelly (James) Quinn of Conway. He was "PaPa Bill" to Justin (Jordan) Vaden and baby Able, Cody Stroud, and Ty Stroud, all of Myron; two nephews, LeRoy (Jane) Orr, Bill (Rae) McKimm; and two nieces, Alice Nix and Gail (Maurice) Rogers. Bill served in the United States Army, attended Arkansas College (Lyon College), and was a loyal and dedicated employee of Cooper Communities, retiring as Senior Vice-President. He served as a member of the Board of Directors for FNBC from 1988 until 2015 at which time he began serving as an Honorary Director. He was a member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church of Violet Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, in the Chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Bailey officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will be in Hickory Grove/Old Baptist Cemetery at Ash Flat. Pallbearers include Mike Nix, Phillip Orr, Bill McKimm, Dr. Marc Rogers, Martin Carpenter, and Billy Joe French. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
