Dale Alfred Murphy, 78, of Center, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the Healthcare and Rehab Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas. He was born March 3, 1937, in Center to Alfred and Ruby Eason Murphy. Dale was of the Church of Christ faith working as a farmer, carpenter, real estate agent, and butcher among many other occupations. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dean and Sam. Survivors include his wife Shirley Murphy of Hardy, Arkansas; daughters, Phyllis (Blaine) Houser of Russellville, Arkansas, and Stephenia (Bobby) Terry of Ash Flat; his brother Danny (Virginia) Murphy of Center and his sister Willene Dawson of Chandler, Arizona; four grandchildren: Barkley Terry, Brady Terry, Jake Houser, and Madisynne Houser; four great-grandchildren: Tyde Terry, Augustus Terry, Bristol Terry, and Emma Houser; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, at Bettis Town Church of Christ. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with C.C. Baird officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Children's Home in Paragould, Arkansas, and the Center Cemetery Maintenance Fund. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
