George D. King Jr.

George D. King Jr., 81, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014, in Springdale. He was born in Lubbock, Texas, on March 13, 1933, to Carrie S. (Thetford) and George D. King Sr. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as an engineer and contractor for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Randy Kemp. Survivors include his wife Pansy (Nix) King of the home; son George King III (Stacy) of Ormond Beach, Florida; daughters Vicki (Randy) Smith of Springdale and Cindi Kemp of Newbern, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Private graveside service with military honors will be Sunday, December 21, at 2 p.m. in Wiles Cemetery in Ash Flat, Arkansas. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
