Patricia Anne Sims, 79, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 12, 2014. She was born in Harvard, Illinois, on November 13, 1934, to Henry and Edith Beamsley Croak. Pat was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village for twenty years and a previous member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Harvard, Illinois. She was an Honors Graduate of Northern Illinois University in 1956 and became a housewife who enjoyed traveling with her husband as well as playing bridge with her friends, working crossword puzzles, and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband William Sims of the home; daughters Victoria (Timothy) Linhart of Harvard, Illinois, Laura (Robert) Schrom of Rockford, Illinois, Karen (Kim) Sims of Vernon Hills, Illinois, and Kathleen (Herbert) Grimm of Capron, Illinois; her brother Henry Croak; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one niece and three nephews along with many other relatives and friends. Visitation with viewing will be Wednesday, October 15, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Harvard, Illinois. Visitation begins at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
