Ellen Imogene Burns

Ellen Imogene McAlister “Burns” age 74 of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away June 28, 2014 at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas. She was born November 7, 1939 in Dover, Arkansas to Elton McAlister and Onva “Sparks” McAlister. She worked in sales for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Mountain Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tommy Dale Burns and one sister Nadine Ruth Lewis. Survivors include two sons, Gary Don McAlister of Gamaliel, Arkansas, Michael Hewitt of Stockton, California, three daughters, Janice Marshall (Denise) of Atascadero, California, Kathy Beach of Gamaliel, Arkansas, Tiffany O’Neil (Dermot) of Bloomfield, New Jersey, one brother Doug McAlister, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. The Family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. All arrangements by Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
