Diane Counts, age 64 of Hardy, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born October 3, 1950 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Cleo and Virginia (Haskins) Chapman. Diane was a school teacher and librarian at the Highland School District for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved by the community and former students. Diane was also a member of the Community of Christ Church and a member of the Sharp County Library Board. She helped start the back pack program at the Community of Christ Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jason Counts. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Counts of the home; one son, Brian Counts and wife Lisa of Maumelle, Arkansas; one daughter, Amy Luman and husband Mitchell of College Station, Texas; four grandchildren, Owen, Avery, Libby, Jaxon, a fifth grandchild on the way; and a special family member, Emily Jackson. Funeral Services will begin Friday, May 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel with Wayne Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery located in Hardy, Arkansas. Visitation will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel located in Highland, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Richard Knight, Tim Evans, Jason Russell, Byron Rikard, Mark Counts, and Scotty Person. Honorary Pallbearers are Raymond Hicks, Danny Cruse, Kevin King, Conrad Long, Larry Counts, and James Floyd.
