Roy L. Lowe, age 66 of Evening Shade, Arkansas, passed away April 21, 2014 at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born September 5, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to Roy William and Wake Lowe. He was a flooring installer, craftsman, and a member of the Elks Lodge 2539. Roy was a loving husband, dad, and PaPa. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Lowe. Survivors include his wife Sandra Lowe of the home; one son, Randy Lowe of Brandon, Mississippi; three daughters, Cheryl Campbell of Hardy, Arkansas, Teri Taylor and husband Tony of Ash Flat, Arkansas, and Melissa Mears and husband Travis of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister, Gerald Herd of Alabama; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will begin Friday, April 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Michaels Catholic Church of Cherokee Village with Father Linus officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located in Highland, Arkansas. Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2014 from Noon until service time at the St. Michaels Catholic Church of Cherokee Village. Pallbearers are Travis Mears, Tony Taylor, Trent Fortuna, Sean Taylor, Jack Patterson, and Randy Lowe. Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Jones, Robert Honeycutt, Ron Patterson, Doug “Monk” Cooper, and Billy Mac Haney. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the New Beginnings Pregnancy Help Center, 23 West Main Street, Ash Flat, Arkansas 72513.
