Mrs. Walter Lee Sanders

Mrs. Walter Lee Sanders, 88 of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, died December 10, 2012. Mrs. Sanders was born to Claude and Irene Kendall on December 23, 1923 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank Mayo Sanders, and a daughter, Linda Lee Harrison. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Rhodes and son-in-law Ron of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; one son, Frank Sanders and daughter-in-law Marcia, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; two sisters, Catherine Duckworth of Memphis, Tennessee, and Polly Marsh of Las Cruces, New Mexico; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday December 13, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Tri- County Funeral home in Highland, Arkansas with Rev. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Bluff, Arkansas at the Graceland Cemetery. No Visitation is planned. Pallbearers will be grandchildren Lee Harrison, Heather Harrison, Jason Rhodes, Jonathan Rhodes, Rachel Jones and Lindsay Furrh. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren Corbin Rhodes, Camden Rhodes, Kendall Rhodes, Edmond Jones, Dylan Harrison, Madelyn Harrison, Jackson Furrh, Connor Furrh and Gavin Furrh. In lieu of flowers the family would ask for memorials to be made to the following: Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205, or American Cancer Society, 901 North University Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72207.
