Thelma Garner, age 85, of Hardy, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at her home. She was born January 19, 1927 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to Lewis Thomas and Beulah Mae (Woods) Davenport. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church. Thelma was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.R. “Dub” Garner; one son, Robert Dewayne Garner; one daughter, Sharon Kaye Garner; one brother; and three sisters. Survivors include one son, Tommy “Tomcat” Garner and wife Wanda of Hardy, Arkansas; one daughter, Jan Howard and husband Jerry of Agnos, Arkansas; one brother, Bill Davenport; one sister, Dorothy Rodgers; ten Grandchildren; thirteen Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will begin Friday, November 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church located in Ash Flat, Arkansas with Henry Parker, Dr. Gene Garner, and Rev. Leon Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery located in Highland, Arkansas. Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel located in Highland, Arkansas.
