Jo Ann Emert-Urton, age 78, of Highland, Arkansas, formerly of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died Monday, September 3, 2012 at the Ash Flat Nursing and Rehab Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas. She was born February 4, 1934 to Fred Mayborn and Dora Myrtle (Prewitt) Wrightman. Jo Ann and her husband, Charles Emert, owned and managed the Woodland Court Motel located in Hardy, Arkansas. She was a member and organist of the Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Emert; one son, Gary Hinkle; one brother; and one sister. Survivors include her husband Albert Urton of the Pocahontas Nursing and Rehab Center in Pocahontas, Arkansas; three sons, Joe Emert and wife Lynn of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Steve Emert and wife Sue of Omaha, Nebraska, and Larry Williams and wife Melissa of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one daughter, Cynthia Clark and husband Bruce of Bellevue, Nebraska; eighteen Grandchildren; fourteen Great Grandchildren; one Great-Great Grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 2:00p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church located in Cherokee Village, Arkansas.
