Arthur Dee Neely, age 76, of Ash Flat, Arkansas died Tuesday, May 08, 2012 at Ash Flat, Arkansas. He was born December 3, 1935 at Springfield, Missouri to Arthur Dorris and Anna Amelia (Schneider) Neely. He was a retired TSGT, cryptographer of the USAF and a refrigerator specialist. He was a member of the Light in the Wilderness Assembly of God Church, the American Legion, and the Refrigeration Service Engineer Society. Arthur was a twenty year veteran of the Air Force and he spent ten years of service in the Department of State Foreign Service. He served thirteen years as the jailer/dispatcher of the Sharp County Sheriffs Office. Arthur was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Army Occupation Medal in Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Joyce Neely of the home; five daughters, DeAnna Jones and husband Stanley of Hardy, Arkansas, Susan Rhodes and husband Mike of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Nancy Russell of Hardy, Arkansas and James Russell of Pasadena, Maryland, Alicia Engstrom and husband Rick of Mount Vernon, Washington, and Christina Hughbank and husband David of Pittsburg, Kansas; two sisters, Doris Neil of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Margery Neely of Manhattan, Kansas; eleven Grandchildren; and eight Great Grandchildren. Memorial Services are Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Light in the Wilderness Assembly of God Church with Pastor Stan Jones officiating. All arrangements are by Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
